Recap and Thank You from our 2018 Race

April 21, 2018 marked the inaugural Hyer Faster Stronger 5K Fun Run, supporting HPISD’s Hyer Elementary! We registered over 500 runners, including children, parents, grandparents, and members of the surrounding community. The rain held off in time for us to get both events off and we saw so many smiling faces. Congrats to our winners, all of our finishers, and everyone who cheered them on. Many thanks to all of our sponsors, volunteers, and vendors! We’ll see you next year!

Weather Update

An update about the rainy forecast for Saturday:

The safety of our runners and volunteers is our utmost priority. We are planning to hold the race event rain or shine, unless the conditions present a dangerous situation for anyone involved. In the event of severe weather in the hours leading up to the event (such as lighting within 2 miles, hail, or dangerous wind gusts), we will make a determination that morning to delay or cancel the event. We will post any changes or updates on our website and social media, so please follow us on those outlets for the latest information.

Be featured in our Virtual Event Bag!

Interested in partnering with us? We’re pleased to invite local community businesses to advertise or offer a promotion in our Virtual Event Bag. What is a Virtual Event Bag?

  • The Virtual Event Bag replaces a traditional event bag. It is an online landing page that goes out to all race participants where sponsors can market their business or product through promotions, coupons, or ads.
  • It is a more sustainable alternative to race bags, which are typically full of flyers that go straight to the trash.
  • Sponsors can track how many people open the bag, view their promotion, and redeem it. It’s a great way to measure return on investment!
  • For runners, no more collecting oddly shaped fliers and items… everything is easily viewed and can be pulled up and redeemed on their phone when they are on-the-go or out shopping.

Placements in the VEB are available for $250. Interested? Please contact us ASAP at hyerfasterstronger@gmail.com.
